About RockingWeb

The AHPRA-Compliance Specialist for Australian Cosmetic Clinics.

Vikas Thakur spent 16 years building for companies like TPG, iiNet and Monadelphous. RockingWeb now applies that engineering rigour to one problem: cosmetic and aesthetic clinics that need websites and marketing which comply with AHPRA's higher-risk advertising guidelines and the TGA's restrictions on naming prescription products.

This is not generic web design with a compliance disclaimer bolted on. The work is governed by specific regulations that most web agencies have never read.

Based in Rockingham, WA, RockingWeb works with cosmetic and aesthetic clinics across Australia, not just Perth.

Regulatory scope

  • AHPRA Guidelines for advertising higher-risk non-surgical cosmetic procedures (effective 2 September 2025)
  • TGA therapeutic goods advertising code under ss.42DL and 42DLB of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989
  • Section 133 of the National Law (Health Practitioner Regulation National Law)

Perfect Core Web Vitals scores on every site we build.

A compliant site must also be fast. Slow sites lose patients before they read a word.

Why the specialisation

Most clinic websites were built before AHPRA changed the rules.

AHPRA's Guidelines for advertising higher-risk non-surgical cosmetic procedures took effect 2 September 2025. They banned testimonials for regulated procedures, restricted before/after imagery, and prohibited inducements and time-limited offers. Most clinic websites were built before any of this existed.

On top of AHPRA, the TGA prohibits naming Schedule 4 prescription products to the public. That means no Botox, no Dysport, no Juvederm, no named injectables anywhere on a publicly accessible page. Operation Redress found 98 of 100 Australian clinic websites doing exactly this.

The specialisation is specific: building websites that meet these rules while still converting patients. A compliant site is not a boring site. It is a site where every element has been thought through against the specific regulation that governs it.

How the Compliance Work Gets Done

A systematic process, not a checklist.

  • 1

    Regulatory Review

Every project starts with a read of the current AHPRA and TGA rules. Guidelines are updated; the review is against the current version, not what we remembered from the last job.

  • 2

    Compliance Audit

We go through the existing site page by page: testimonials, before/after content, named products, inducements, required disclosures. Each breach is documented with the specific rule it violates.

  • 3

    Build or Remediate

New build or remediation of the existing site. Copy rewritten to remove banned content. Structure changed to place required disclosures where the guidelines require them. Schema and technical SEO built in from day one.

  • 4

    Compliance Sign-Off

The finished site is cross-checked against the audit findings. Every flagged issue is resolved before launch. You get documentation of what was changed and why.

Strengths

Why RockingWeb for Clinic Compliance

Regulatory Knowledge

The work is governed by AHPRA guidelines, the TGA therapeutic goods advertising code, and Section 133 of the National Law. We work within these specifically.

Enterprise Build Background

Vikas built for McMillan Shakespeare Group, iiNet and TPG Group. Complex technical requirements are not a novelty.

Performance Focus

Every site we build scores in the top percentile for Core Web Vitals. A compliant site that loads slowly still loses patients.

WCAG 2.1 AA Accessibility

Accessible websites are a legal and ethical baseline for healthcare providers. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA as standard.

No Outsourcing

All work is done in-house by Vikas. No offshore subcontractors. No account managers passing briefs to people who never spoke to you.

Ongoing Compliance Monitoring

AHPRA and TGA guidelines are updated. Monthly retainer clients get their site reviewed against any rule changes as part of the engagement.
